Our world revolves around the child... we don't mind.

Becoming a parent has been one of the hardest yet most rewarding things I have ever been through in my life... more than the last 5 years of school, planning a wedding, and adjusting to the married life all together. It's also one of the challenges that has made me "grow up" the most, especially when it comes to thinking about our family's future. That's why Amanh and I decided that 5 years and Communication Degree later just isn't going to cut it, I'm going to nursing school too. At least that's the plan, graduate in July after a quick summer quarter and start nursing school in March 2010. This will give me approximately 7 or so months to just be at home with Channing and our new son Micah Gabriel (who's due in early September).

Lets face it, school isn't the most uplifting and exciting daily activity, not to mention it's a lot of hard work. That's why I'm stressed about this last home stretch of school. The weather is gradually improving, this lil bean in me is starting to thrash around (constantly reminding me of his prescense), and all I seem to want to do is play outside with the Chan Man. Despite all of the things I really WANT to do... school has robotized my mind and made me into this responsible being who does her school work and stays on top of it for fear that she'll procrastinate and fall behind. So, here I sit at my computer every time my son is asleep that is, working.

When I truly am stuck at my desk, I like to look through some of my favorite pictures. It makes me feel better and motivates me to study a bit more passionately...

The Light at the End of the Tunnel

This will be my first post on the new blog I suppose. The reason I chose to start this blog was due to the fact that I am constantly spending time working diligently on everything else except for my own expression. School work has recently been extremely consuming along with the everyday chores from dishes to dirty diapers.

So, why not put the Psych homework down, take a break, and start this. I think that using this blog as a journal, a way to track the life of my family from my sometimes cooky perspective may actually be fun.

My head is full of things to write about, but my body is tired and screaming at me for some sleep. So all I can say for now is that life is hard and will be for the next three months... but there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
